Jakarta, October 2025 - "Great teachers are not those who never make mistakes, but those who keep learning from every step they take". This quote perfectly captured the spirit of the Sharing Session: Pause, Reflect, Upgrade held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Home of The Falcons Auditorium, Nizamia High School (NHS). The event gathered teachers from all Nizamia units from Kindergarten to High School — in a session designed to slow down, reflect, and rediscover purpose in their teaching journey.
The session was led by Aldilla K., an Education Project Manager at INA Digital Edu, as well as a Certified Trainer, STEAM Facilitator, and Talents Mapping Practitioner. With her rich experience in teacher development, Kak Aldilla guided participants to explore the art of reflection — not as an abstract concept, but as a practical and transformative habit that nurtures professional growth.
From the very beginning, the atmosphere was warm and engaging. After a brief opening, the session continued with interactive discussions and sharing moments that encouraged teachers to look inward and evaluate their experiences. Kak Aldilla introduced the SMART framework (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) as a simple yet effective method to make reflection measurable and action-oriented.
Teachers were invited to recall their real classroom moments — stories of small victories, unexpected challenges, and heartwarming experiences with students. Through these stories, participants realized that reflection is not about judging one's performance, but about understanding one's growth process. It is a way to pause, learn, and move forward with greater clarity.
The discussion evolved into a collaborative exchange of ideas. Teachers listened to one another's insights and offered encouragement, creating an atmosphere filled with empathy and shared learning. Together, they discovered that reflection should not be an individual practice only, but a collective culture within the school — one that promotes continuous improvement and mutual support. "Reflection helps us see not just what we do, but who we are becoming as educators", Pak Adi during the discussion.
The session ended with a collective commitment: every teacher would continue building reflective habits as part of their professional journey. A photo session followed, capturing smiles, laughter, and a sense of renewed motivation to keep growing. Through programs like this, Nizamia Andalusia School continues to reaffirm its dedication to developing adaptive, reflective, and inspiring educators — teachers who never stop learning, so they can guide students not only with knowledge, but also with wisdom and heart.
