A Story to Share, A World to Explore
Throughout Pekan Dongeng, students, teachers, and parents took turns sharing their stories directly in the classrooms on different days. Each session brought its own unique charm, with storytellers bringing tales to life and capturing the attention of their listeners.
For students, however, Pekan Dongeng was more than just a storytelling experience. It was also a chance to showcase their talents through a friendly storytelling competition! The journey began with a selection round in each class, where students had the opportunity to demonstrate their storytelling skills. The selected representatives then advanced to the next round to compete against one another, with the final results determining the winners. Through this process, students learned to build confidence, express themselves, and share their creativity in front of an audience.
More Than Just Telling Stories
Beyond the competition, Pekan Dongeng encouraged students to explore the power of language and imagination. As they listened to different stories, they had the opportunity to develop their listening skills, enrich their vocabulary, and discover new ideas through storytelling.
The event also reminded students that storytelling is not simply about memorizing words or reading a book aloud. To make Pekan Dongeng even more exciting, Nizamia Andalusia School welcomed guest storytellers Kak Ebi and his friend, Ocan, who took the students on an exciting adventure through the jungle! Through their engaging storytelling and lively performances, the children were invited to explore the wonders of the jungle, follow the characters' adventures, and let their imaginations run wild. It was a fun and memorable experience that brought the magic of storytelling to life!
